What skills and experience do you bring to Blockout Blinds?
I have had over 15 years’ experience in the industry and know blinds like the back of my hand.
What is your favourite product and why?
My favourite product is the Plantation Shutters. They never seem to disappoint. They are stylish, easy to clean, practical, great insulators and will last a lifetime. You can be assured that anyone who walks into your home will experience that “WOW” factor.
How do you ensure your customers have complete 100% satisfaction?
When providing a quotation I always ask my customers plenty of questions to ensure we are all on the same page and that the products I supply them with suits their décor, budget and expectations. I like to go over all the options and types of finishes so the customer gets involved and really feels like they are building their own blinds – after all they are made to measure. If you do this, the blinds installed will meet the customers expectations and will result in the customer being 100% satisfied.

What is your favourite product and why?
My favourite product is the outdoor Ziptrack blinds. I love the Ziptracks so much, I installed them at home in January 2011 and can’t believe the difference it has made to our outdoor area. It has not only added value to our property by creating an extra indoor/outdoor room, but also allows us to use the outdoor area in summer and winter. We have had so many compliments from our family and friends and they want to purchase them also!
What is your definition of great customer service?
I always try to put myself in the customer’s shoes and I treat them the way I would like to be treated. My objective is to always assist the customer and give 150% at all times as our customers are very important to us.
What is your best tip for people looking at updating their window furnishings?
I think the most important thing to keep in mind when purchasing blinds is to obtain several quotes. When comparing the quotes don’t just look at the price but look at the quality, service, warranty and customer testimonials. The price may be important but quality is even more important if the product is to stand the test of time. Purchasing blinds is a significant purchase and you want them to last a long time and have the reassurance that the company you choose stands behind its products!

What skills and experience do you bring to Blockout Blinds?
One of the skills I bring to Blockout Blinds includes attention to detail. My role often impacts everyone within the business so I need to record information accurately and consistently. Having an eye for detail has really helped me grow at Blockout Blinds and take on more responsibility.
What is your favourite product and why?
My favourite product is the dual rollers because it gives you the best of both worlds. The sunscreen blind allows light to filter through during the day whilst the block out blind offers complete privacy at night. Dual rollers are also a modern alternative to old fashioned drapes and sheer curtains.
Why do you enjoy your role with Blockout Blinds?
I enjoy my role at Blockout Blinds because it gives me the opportunity to learn a little bit of everything within the company. Every day my role allows me to interact with customers, design consultants, ordering, production and installation. By working so closely within these areas I am learning something new about Blockout Blinds all the time.
Louise Jamieson
What is your favourite product and why?
My favourite product would be the dual rollers, because they create a very modern look, they provide various options and they are very cost effective.
What is your best tip for people looking at updating their window furnishings?
My best tip would be to definitely arrange a free measure and quote before you go and buy a pre-made blind. This is because until you actually speak to one of our design consultants, you will have no idea of the extensive range and options that are available – from things like colours and fabrics, to motorised blinds and PVC Bistro Blinds.
What is your definition of great customer service?
I believe great customer service is being able to guide and assist the customer before, during and after they purchase the product of their choice. I want to ensure that their experience with Blockout Blinds is a great one. By receiving positive feedback, I know that our customers are satisfied and that I have fulfilled my role.

Why did you choose to work with Blockout Blinds?
I chose Blockout Blinds because I wanted to work for a company which has a really good name in the industry and has a solid reputation and background.
How do you help customers select the best products and colours for their home or office?
I am always happy to spend as much time as the customer needs to create that desired look. I will always look at each application differently and offer my expert advice to suit colour, style, suitability and budget.
What is your best tip for people looking at updating their window furnishings?
Go with the experts – choose the company that backs their product with Australia’s first 10 year warranty. Never sacrifice quality for a cheaper price.

Why did you choose to work with Blockout Blinds?
A big thing I live by in my life is ‘in order to stand out from everyone else you need to do things differently’. From the moment I came into contact with Blockout Blinds I knew they believed this also.
What are your values?
My values include honesty, uniqueness and success.
What is your best tip for people looking at updating their window furnishings?
Many people make the mistake of going for the cheapest priced blinds, however by going with the price rather than the quality the blinds could cost you more money in repairs, replacement, time and stress. Don’t be afraid of paying that little bit more for something you really want because the long term benefits will far outweigh the short term pain.
Chris Peroukaneas
What skills and experience do you bring to Blockout Blinds?
I have over 9 years experience in the blinds industry, originally from a manufacturing background so my product knowledge is vast. I understand the differences and qualities between all blinds which ensures customer’s 100% satisfaction in service and advice.
What is your favourite product and why?
My favourite product would have to be soft roman blinds. Why settle for a plain coloured roman blind when you can now decorate with flair using our selection of soft furnishing fabrics to create a really individual look for your rooms. It greatly expands your decorating opportunities by adding funky geometrics, soft prints, florals and even stripes to your roman blinds.
What is your best tip for people looking at updating their window furnishings?
My best piece of advice is to actually consider the quality of the product and service the company can provide above anything else. Customers often look at the price, but can forget ‘you get what you pay for’. There is always a reason why something is much cheaper and all I advise is that you ask yourself why? At Blockout Blinds we have a team of professionals with many years experience to ensure customer satisfaction from the time we confirm our appointment, to the time they are installed. We continue the same level of service throughout and strive to be the best.

What is your best tip for people looking at updating their window furnishings?
The best tip/advice that I think people should look at is – where possible do some homework of your own. It can only help with making informed and correct decisions.
What is the funniest thing that has happened to you at work?
One night and my last appointment, pitch black with no street lights, out of my car finding the ground thick with mud. I navigated my way through to the front door, relatively unscathed, when out of nowhere the home owner opens the front door. I did not expect it, so was startled, tripped and ended up pretty well covered in mud and the customer laughing so hard that I could only see the funny side!
