Hi, I’m Will, Senior Design Consultant from Blockout Blinds.
And today, I have a home transformation for you.
0:15 – Old awnings be gone, old and dated
So as you can see on this first photo; we have an old style awning with a scalloped bottom. You also see there’s quite a big rip in the bottom there because they’re about 25 years old these awnings here in the old orange and the stripes.
0:30 – Worried they will fall apart?
Going into summer, the customer put the awnings down and they’re a bit tattered and worst for wears so she’s a bit worried they’re gonna fall apart on her.
0:43 – Maybe you don’t require all new awnings
So when I went out and saw Deborah in Wantirna, she was actually looking to replace all the awnings with brand new awnings. But what she didn’t realised is that we can actually use all the old components or the old parts. On this particular one, it was they’re all still in good nick. It was just the fabric that was outdated.
1:05 – From old to modern with one colour selection
After realizing that we can actually recover those, we can actually save her about 30 precent over replacing totally new blinds. We sat down, we had a look through colours and she’s going for more modern look rather than the old scallop striped in the orange.
1:24 – Should have done it earlier
If you look at this after photo, we actually went for a grey colour that’s a modern look with a straight cut on the bottom of the awning there. Deborah’s blown away by how good her house looks with the new awnings. And she’s thought, “Gosh, why didn’t I do this years ago?”
1:43 – It’s as simple as that
So people just don’t realise how much new blinds can change the look of their house.
Once again I’m Will from Blockout Blinds.
