Hi there! I’m Jason from the company, Blockout Blinds and I hope you’re having a fantastic day. Today, I’m here to talk to you about a new bottom rail that we have for our roller blinds.
Well why are we so excited? Well they haven’t changed for a while. Let me just show you what a bottom rail looks like.
This is what I’m talking about. Roller blind with the rail on the bottom which most roller blinds have these days. Now it was probably about 6, 7, 8 years ago where really, the only option you had was the bottom rail had a perfectly round profile. Then, about 4-5 years ago, things progressed to one with a more modern look. So, we came up with the elliptical shaped or tear drop shaped bottom rail which has been doing very well. We’ve been using it a lot for the last 4 or 5 years. But finally now, we’re proud to release a new style. We’ve had this out in the market for the last 3 months to select customers just to get some feedback on what they thought, how it looked to see if people liked it more than the older style? We wanted to get it right before we released it to the market as a whole.
The new style that we have is our exclusive D-Rail and the reason it’s called a D-Rail is because the profile while nearly square, is a little bit shaped like a D. So this is a bit chunkier, a bit meatier, a little bit more weighty and most of our customers have told us that it’s a much more modern look than the older elliptical style bottom rail. So if you imagine that’s the older style. I unfortunately don’t have one on a blind with me today but if I just hold it over the front there, you can see the different look and well personally, I love it. I think it’s fantastic, the customers are loving it and hence why we’re now releasing it, making it available to everyone who wants to get it. So this now is a standard option on our blinds. We still can order in the existing elliptical shape if you like that better or if you have existing blinds and we could even still order in the round rail, the really older style. However, this from today onwards will be the standard with all our blinds and I think most people will love it and will be as happy with it as our existing customers who have trialled it have been. So it comes in the same colours as the pre-existing bottom rails. That’s about 6 different colours from bones and whites to anodised which is one of our more popular ones and the black and a few other colours in there.
So the new D-Rail is fantastic, we love it, our customers love it, hopefully you’ll love it. We are trying to do our best to keep up with the times and keep things looking modern and fresh. Until next time.
