Hi, I’m Jason from the brand Blockout Blinds.
And today I’m going to show you how you can add a bit of style to your roller blinds with what we call Bonded Pelmets. Okay, so here’s a customer’s house that we just installed this week, actually.
And initially the customer had roller blinds installed. And look at this first photo here, you can see there’s a roller blind on the window, where else would it be? And while it looks okay, the customer was not really satisfied with the end result.
So we then decided to put on Bonded roller blind pelmets. Now what’s a bonded roller blind pelmet? Well it’s basically a timber pelmet with 2 sides a front and a top, which we then cover in material — usually the same material that the roller blind is in so it matches.
One good thing is they make the blind I think look like more stylish because they cover up the roll. And 2, they stop a lot of the light coming in up behind the blind because they do have a lid on them.
So let’s have a look at this next photo…and as you can see here is the same blind but now with that bonded pelmet on it. And I think you’ll all agree that it looks much more stylish, ties in better, more modern…well that’s what I think anyway. And the customer thought that too.
So let’s have a look at the next room…so here we’ve got 2 blinds on 2 windows here and here’s what they look like after the pelmet has been put on. Looks awesome! This next photo here is this bi-fold sliding doors, and you can see we’ve got 2 blinds on the door here; one on the left one of the right.
Yet we put one continuos bonded pelmet over the top. And here’s the same window, just with the other bit more in the view…And the customer was absolutely wrapped! And the good thing with bonded pelmets is we can adjust the height, the depth, to whatever we want so we can customise it to exactly suit your needs.
So there you go, bonded pelmets over your roller blinds can really just take your roller blinds to the next level in terms of looks so…hopefully you’ll agree, and until next time.
