Hi I’m Jason from the company Blockout Blinds and today I’m going to be showing you how to put your ZipTrack Blinds up correctly when your system has end clips as opposed to having a centre lock.

00:17 – How to secure your ZipTrak clips

So here we have our ZipTrack Blind and I’ll just put it into the down position and as I do that you can see the side clips are spring loaded. As the blind glides past the clips push in and then spring back out again when the blind is in the down position. This stops the blind from going back up.

00:41 – A common mistake in releasing your ZipTrak clips

Now I have a small blind here, however it’s common to have a blind upto 3-4 metres in width which means you can’t reach both clips at the same time. The trouble that some people run into is they’ll undo one clip, then go down to the other end clip only to find that the blind has clipped back down.

01:12 – The correct technique from releasing your ZipTrak clips

So it’s an easy fix, all you do is release one side and then lift the blind up a little bit which will bring the blind up higher than the clip to help stop it from clipping back down. Then when you undo the other clip ensure you use your free hand to give the blind a bit of a lift as you release the other clip and as you can see the blind comes up nice and easy. Not too difficult to do, you just need to know what you’re doing.
