Hi, I’m Jason from the company Blockout Blinds and today we’re going to talk about why you might sometimes feel like you had a couple too many glasses of wine. No, I’m not going to talk about that. Rest assured, it has nothing to do with you drinking. We have a type of blind called Screen Blind. A screen blind lets you look outside and maintain a view while creating privacy from the outside. However, when you have a screen blind hanging in front of a fly wire screen, you effectively have a screen on a screen and this has an effect called strobing.

Why Does My Screen Blinds Make My Eyes Wonky

Strobing Effect

It’s sort of like a iridescent type of effect that you get when you have a screen over a screen. In fact, we have a picture of the effect and how it looks. As you can see we have 4 or 5 screens hanging up in a beautiful home and one of the screens is hanging in front of the fly screen and you can see the effect that it causes, so no it’s not your eyes from the wine. It’s just a natural effect that occurs when you have a screen in front of a screen. It’s nothing to be concerned about. It can’t hurt your eyes. The blinds still does the job that the blind is meant to do so rest assured, it’s just a natural phenomenon that happens when we install the blind like this.

Severity Depends

This strobing effect can be more severe or less severe. There’s a few things that will affect the severity of it. From how dark it is inside v’s outside. From the angle you’re looking at it. From the thickness of the weave and by the fly wire screen and the blind. So sometimes, it would be more noticeable, sometimes it would be less. It can also have more or less of an effect too depending if you have a darker colour blind like black or a lighter colour blind like white so hopefully, I helped you out a little bit today and I look forward to speaking with you next time.
